Deliberate: Afraid of Nothing - Commissioned by Colleen for her Strength & Sensitivity project, this work for drumset and electronics is composed by Yvette Janine Jackson and inspired by the work of Audre Lorde. Performed at So Percussion’s Brooklyn Bound Festival, Feb. 2022.

I’ve Ever Seen - A “blues” by Yvette Janine Jackson, composed specially for Colleen with support from the MATA Festival.

Adaptation Variations - The American Wild Ensemble commissioned and premiered this work by Takuma Itoh. Video footage was shot on location during the ensemble’s tour of Hawaii in February 2020. Audio recording is from a live performance at the Lyon Arboretum (Oahu).

We Shall Be Turned - Colleen placed 2nd in the 2018 Black Swamp Solo Percussion Showcase with this unedited performance of Judd Greenstein’s multi-percussion solo.

La Bicicleta de Cristal - Colleen’s interpretation of this piece by Angélica Negrón reflects on the triumphs and shortcomings of the suffragette movement. 2020 is the centennial celebration of the 19th Amendment, a landmark piece of legislation that shattered the glass ceiling for some women while still leaving many citizens behind. Recorded at home in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic.

E Mālama I Ke Kai (excerpt) - This is Colleen’s percussion cover/arrangement of E Mālama… by Michael-Thomas Foumai. Originally composed for the American Wild Ensemble and premiered on their tour of Hawai’i, this version was part of Colleen’s set at the 2020 Austin Percussion Festival.

Missouri By and By - American Wild Ensemble performs this work by Marcus Lewis, with poetry by Glenn North. Commissioned for the Missouri State Bicentennial.

Empathy - This video was created by Colleen and Matt Curlee to raise funds for the Center for Youth in Rochester, NY. Chorale - First-ever recording of Richard Albagli’s 1978 marimba solo. The piece is composed using the 12-tone system, and is dedicated to Dr. Robert Bailey.
