S&S: Boston
On March 9, 2019, to celebrate Women’s History Month, International Women’s Day, and HeForShe Arts Week 2019, Strength & Sensitivity was presented as a full evening-length production by Kadence Arts. Held at Arts at the Armory, the concert presented a kaleidoscopic array of musical styles and spoken word examining Freedom and Power through feminist and intersectional lenses. The show featured four artists selected in the first S&S Open Call for Collaborators, performing original works created for Strength & Sensitivity. Numerous local musicians performed in addition to the featured artists, including Maria Finkelmeier, Doug Perkins, Mary Mackenzie, Stephanie Muñoz, Francesca McNeeley, the Boston Conservatory Percussion Ensemble, and more.
