2019-2020
S&S: Chicago
Coming to the Windy City this December, Strength & Sensitivity presents a trio of powerhouse percussionists: Gloria Yehilevsky, Rebecca McDaniel, and Colleen Bernstein. Joining forces specially for this project, the three musicians will craft an evocative program featuring new works, arrangements, improvisations, and reimagined versions of existing percussion music. The show will also feature local Chicago spoken word artists, including singer-songwriter Kiéla Adira and E’mon Lauren, the city’s first ever Youth Poet Laureate, performing their work in collaboration with the musicians.
